For my Total Work of Art project in History of Communication Design, I created an experiential video designed to immerse viewers in the sensory and psychological progression of an anxiety attack. Conceived as part of a larger installation-based exhibit, the piece integrates motion, sound design, and shifting visual intensity to move from moments of calm into escalation and fragmentation, before returning to stillness. The work explores how audiovisual layering, rhythm, and spatial pacing can shape embodied perception, inviting viewers to experience—not simply observe—the destabilizing and cyclical nature of anxiety. This project reflects my interest in gesamtkunstwerk principles and the capacity of communication design to function as an immersive, affective environment rather than a purely informational medium.
